The
Pocket Internet Explorer comes free with the basic Pocket PC 2002
OS. It contains functions to store and synchronise bookmarks and
a limited set of options: definition of home page, number of days
to keep history and a button to delete temporary files, otherwise
known as cache.
Minimo
is based on the 1.7a Mozilla codebase and the current Windows CE
build uses the Pocket PC 2003 SDK. More information can be found
at the Minimo project website.
NetFront
v3.3 browser engine delivers new features that provide a more powerful
and functional Internet browsing experience. Key elements include
enhanced support for Dynamic HTML, intelligent frame handling, pop-up
blocking and support for RDF Site Summary/Really Simple Syndication
(RSS).
Bitstream
has added "full" Java support to the 2.1 version of its ThunderHawk
Pocket PC browser. By "full" the company means that ThunderHawk
is the only wireless Web browser that displays full HTML pages while
offering desktop-level Java 1.5.0 capabilities, so that applets
behave exactly the same on mobile devices as they do on desktop
devices.
